Women’s Day Giveaway

This coming Wednesday we celebrate Women’s Day and what better way to celebrate than with a Women’s Day Giveaway?

We all know that one women who you secretly want to be, whether its for her beautiful skin, her way she elegantly just pulls everyone together or their compassion towards anyone. It’s these women that makes us want to be better. All of us posses the ability to be great, we just have to believe in ourselves. Women all over the world gets treated differently because of our gender, in the work place, at church and even sometimes at home. But this doesn’t get us down. We still strive for greatness and we still do our best. We as women can do anything we put our minds to.

It is so easy to judge another lady on what she is wearing or how her makeup is done, but what we do not know is that her toddler might have been very sick this morning and is in hospital – which mother in their right mind would then be concerned about fashion?  It is so easy to lecture a women on what they should have done and how they should react in a bad situation, rather than to lend a hand, be vulnerable and humble and ask how you can assist. Women have the ability to pull together a whole community and make it a better place to be, we are gatherers, providers and caretakers. God has given us the ability to care beyond all comprehension, to love beyond all bounds and to care more for others than ourselves.

In this post I want to set a challenge for you. For a whole week – 7 days – do one thing to empower a fellow lady. Compliment someone you do not get along with very well, help out a stranger. Be the change you want to see in the world. Forgive a person who wronged you and take them for a coffee. Not only will this free up space to love and car more, but it will set an example and inspire others to do the same.

As this is women month my giveaway will run until 31 August and two winners will be chosen. There will be two prizes with products from Elizabeth Arden.

My Mom is the most amazing role model to me; you have never steered me in the wrong direction, you allowed me to make my own mistakes without so much as an “I told you so.” You afforded me the space to grow and learn for myself without ever being so far away that you weren’t able to help when I needed you. You are my mom, my mentor, my strength, my number one fan and, most of all, my best friend. You have always been a constant force in an ever-changing life.

    my mother,
As a mother myself I truly understand the dedicated and undivided love my mother has given to me. I love my mom because no matter what she goes through she comes out stronger no matter how bad things turn up in her life she’s got away to pick herself up again and get through it. She brings comfort when there’s sadness, she brings joy where you feel there’s no hope. She’s always there one step away. She sacrifices everything for her children and expects nothing in exchange for the loves that she gives. She’s eternal, a angel a gift from God. Being a mother to my two beautiful blessing and miracles boy I can finally say that you don’t know how much your mother loves you until you have given birth and become a parent yourself. The joys of being a mom is something I treasure. It’s the best job in the world watching this little person grow up into a little character and all the unconditional love you have for this child is a magical feeling that no one could ever take away from you.
Oooh goodness this is too wonderful
    Liked and shared and
    Dreaming to be lucky

. My mum inspires me. She is the truest friend we have, when trials, heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine, desert us when troubles thicken around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.

  41. It has been and ALWAYS will be my mom. If I’m ever half the women and mom she is then I’ll be happy. She’s the most selfless, compassionate and gracious person. Some nights when I lay awake thinking about her my eyes fill with tears because of how much love I feel for this one human that it news overwhelming. I don’t only love her because she’s my mom but because I think she’s an angel walking on this earth. She does soooo much for others and forgets that she also needs to give some of herself, to herself. I pray for God’s light to continue shining over my mom’s life because my one wish is for my children to get to know the extraordinary human I had the privilege to call my mom.
