I have to keep myself from saying “I can not believe we are approaching September already” each month I do my monthly favorites. But gee whiskers these months are just flying by. At least the one good thing is that there is another monthly favorites post on the blog today.
Monthly favorites are one of my favorite posts to write as they come so naturally. Its products Ive used most of the month, so I have a clear opinion of why I like them. This month there are not too many monthly favorites. I have either already mentioned these products in previous monthly favorites or recently blogged about it. Let me take you through all of them.
Tara & Jack Shaker Mask with Apple Stem Cells
I have done a full review of these mask here. This particular mask is my favorite from all the ones I have tried before. You get a shaker cup with your order and in that cup is where all the “science” happen, I feel like a women version of Albert Einstein. On the foil packet is the directions on how to prepare each mask. The green one is my favorite so far cause of its lovely gel formula and the fact that it leaves my skin feeling smooth and soft. You can store your mask in the fridge to make it last longer for up to 10 days. This is a mask that is formulated in France and perfected in SA. It’s spa quality masks to give you that extra special treatment. Purchase yours from The Beautiful Store here.
L.A. Girl Pro BB Cream
I have mentioned this BB Cream in so many monthly favorite posts that I have stopped counting, here is the last one I mentioned it in. It provides light coverage, but it is enough to even out my skin leaving it looking fresh and healthy. I find this easy to apply (using my fingers), it leaves no streaks and blend in perfectly. Powder products as well as cream products perform well on top of this base. Not only is it an essential in my collection, but it is also affordable.
Essence Happy Girls are Pretty Multi Color Blush
I am very sorry to feature this blush as it was part of an Essence limited trend edition last year I think, but it is whats been on my cheeks this whole month. It is not very pigmented, just enough to make your cheeks beautifully flushed and radiant. The outer light pink provide the radiance and the inner pink heart is where the color comes from. It’s beautiful and if Essence ever brings out another blush like this, jump and get it! Heck, get a back up while you are at it!
Essence Volume Stylist 18h Lash Extension Mascara
This was a product I discovered through my Beauty Edit – Under R250. A Page in the Good Housekeeping Magazine. In the past I have not been kind when reviewing Essence mascaras, but this one blew me out the water. In my beauty edit post I mentioned that Im not sure if Im annoyed cause the mascara does not want to come off, or if I was impressed. This mascara last all day without flaking, it creates gorgeous length and separate my lashes nicely. Good job Essence.
Revlon Colorstay Creme Eye Shadow in 720
This is the only matte shadow in the new range of creme eye shadows from Revlon. They are gorgeous and I have done a full review here. I enjoy this eye shadow particular because I can use it as an all over the lid color, or as a base for other colors. When paired with powder shadows (cause of my oily lids) it lasts all day and blends like a dream. It’s gel formula is light weight and the range is full of shimmers, beautiful colors.
Elizabeth Arden Skin Illuminating Advanced Brightening Capsules
These capsules need no introduction on my blog. I have been in love with them for ever and a day. They are different to the gold capsules in the sense that these contain a serum rather than an oil. It smells divine and leaves my skin feeling so soft, smooth and hydrated. I absolutely love them and recommend them to anyone and everyone.
These were my monthly favorites, please share with me yours in the comments below or leave a link to your post.
