Review : Viva La Juicy Glacé

Packaging

Lets talk about the pink flower in the room… Viva La Juicy is known for their statement pieces on their bottles and this is no exception. The flower fits in perfectly with the box and the bottle, even with the pink iridescent shine on the bottle. The vision Honorine Blanc had for this perfume was in crystals, kissed with ice and sparkling frost and the notes frozen in ice. Hence the frosted glass bottle with the pink iridescence and the crystal lid. It’s all very fancy and the notes is there to back it up.

Notes

First off, when I received this perfume together with the VIP Private Show, they smelled very similar. But after wearing them both for a while I can definitely tell the difference. Even now, after looking at the notes, they are worlds apart. The top notes are frozen mandarin orange, Cassis (blackcurrant), pear and sorbet. Very fruity and sweet, but then its gets toned down by the middle notes, jasmine and orange blossom. The base notes include amber, sandalwood and vanilla. This ties in further with the vision for the perfume of icy lush fruit mingling with warm vanilla and smooth sandalwood. Creating the perfect balanced scent that can be used any time of the year.

The Low Down

This perfume is fresh and sweet at first, but then settles into a deep and warm scent. It is very pleasant to wear, not something I would have picked up for myself. But I am glad I received this as I quite enjoy it. I think that this will be well suited for the younger generation, but surprising enough this will also suite a more mature lady as well.

You can pick this perfume up from Edgars, Foschine or Truworths and a 50m will set you back R895 and the 100ml R1195.

This is a new launch and is available since 18/09/2017. Go check it out and let me know in the comments below if you like it just as much as the previous Viva La Juicy scents.

love ya

  1. I received a sample in the Glamour SA. And I loved it. Like the way the smell settled. I love Juicy Couture, as I received the Original first one as a birthday gift. Still have the bottle????.
