Monthly Faves : September 2017

2 October 2017

Hi guys, It is Monday and a new week is here. I had a good weekend so I hope the coming week will also be good. To start the week off good, we are looking at all my favorite goodies for the month of September. There was some amazing products and some amazing times. Now lets jump into my Monthly Faves : September 2017.

Monthly Faves : September 2017

First off, I went on leave to visit my family and my sister turned 21. Congrats Liena!!! We had so much fun and it was amazing to visit with my Dad again. We also visited with my in-laws a few days and I met up with some blogger friends. This is my first favorite for the month of September.

Revlon HD Gel Lip Color

I have recently done a full review on these lippies and they are awesome, check it out here. Although these lippies are a bit on the expensive side for drugstore they perform great. That is why I enjoyed them so much this month, they are soft and light on the lips without drying them out. The color is perfect for the office, or a quick trip out of the house. They last about 2 hours on the lips and come in a bunch of colors. The standout quality for me was how comfortable these feel on my lips.

Skin Creamery – The Everyday Face & Body Cream

This cream was part of my August Haul. I did not take it with me on holiday and Im so disappointed that I did not, but it gave me an opportunity to see this product in its full swing. I could literally see a change in my skin within three days. When I got back from holiday I had scales for skin and I was in desperate need of some hydration and this cream just delivered everything and more it promised.

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Vol II

This was one of two palettes I took with me on holiday. We got this in last month’s Boxycharm, check out the unboxing here. These shadows are gorgeous and they blend sooo well. They are creamy and easy to work with. I have to say they are less pigmented than I thought they would be, but you can build them up to the intensity you need. The packaging is gorgeous and there is a decent sized mirror on the inside. Thank you Boxycharm…

Still Stay all day liner in Dark Brown

A good brown liner can be a girls best friend. It it not as harsh as a black liner and can easily soften a look. As both the palettes l took on holiday were neutral browns, this liner was perfect. Not only did it fit the look perfect but it also held up all day, even in that heat. Still Stay All day liner is a cult favorite for a reason. (I cringed when I looked at this, but here is a review. Bare in mind its when I just started blogging). When my mom passed away I took some of her makeup and she had a handful of these in different colors. I am loving every single one of them.

Elizabeth Arden Superstart Serum

I have recently done a favourite skincare post and this was not included there and I will tell you why. This is my absolute favorite, its a super favorite. No, not even a favorite, a necessity! If I lost my whole collection this is the item I would first replace. I cannot live without it and I have said in my previous posts I will walk dogs for some extra moola to afford this. It is not just hydrating it self, but it pulls everything you put on top of it into your skin. Thus making your skincare work harder and smarter. I can instantly see a difference in my skin when I am not using this. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a good serum.

Elizabeth Arden Lasting Impression Mascara

I am very harsh when I review mascaras, I am not sure why, but it is what it is. I have to admit that I can not think of one mascara from Elizabeth Arden that has let me down. This one is no exception, it creates great volume and separates my lashes nicely. It lasts all day without transferring of smudging, its also nice and black and does not get crumbly. At the end of the day its still there but not difficult to remove at all. The brush is relatively easy to use and the tapered end makes it easy to reach those inner corner lashes.

Royal & Langnickel – Moda Pro BMX-430 Crease

This crease brush is bomb!!! It very quickly became one of my most reached for brushes. Not only is it nice and fluffy, but it is also very sturdy. I find it easy to work in the crease and to blend shadows to create a soft blown out look. The handle has got criss cross, almost rubberized, patterns which make it easy to hold onto and to get a good grip. The bristles it nice and long but not too long to make it look and perform sloppy. Wish we had these in South Africa as I will purchase many more. This brush was also from the August Boxyxharm unboxing.

This was my September favorites, please leave me a link in the comments below to your faves post or tell me which product was your standout this month.

love ya
