Review : Elizabeth Arden Advanced Ceramide Capsules

24 January 2018

Hi guys, it’s Wednesday, and I hope you are all having a blast. You know, now that I am 30, I need something to start looking after those pesky wrinkles. No, seriously! I have been using these capsules for a while now and they have been amazing. Let me share with you my thoughts on the Elizabeth Arden Advanced Ceramide Capsules.

Review : Elizabeth Arden Advanced Ceramide Capsules

I have been an Elizabeth Arden skincare fan for so long, and so has my Mom. I have a couple of favourites from the brand, and these capsules are one of those favourites. They are like tiny superheroes that can pack a real punch.

The packaging looks and feel very high-end and luxurious. You have the logo embossed on the lid and then repeated on the front of the tub. The gold lid is still very old school Elizabeth Arden, but I still like it. When you twist off the lid you will find the packaging is very sturdy and I enjoy how it feels in my hands. The capsules themselves is made from a biodegradable material, I love how environmental friendly this is.

You start by twisting the top off, or if you are like me, I prick a tiny hole with a needle. Each capsule is filled with fragrance and preservative-free serum that will boost moisture and aid in anti ageing. The skin around your eyes are the most delicate skin and can always benefit from additional moisture and hydration. That is why these capsules are so awesome. I find this serum to be just the right consistency between an oil and an eye cream. It certainly is runnier than an eye cream, but it sinks in super fast and leave the skin around my eyes feeling plump and healthy. This will mean less puffiness and more youthful skin.

Availability and Price

If healthy skin is hat you are chasing after then this is your solution. Well together with a good skin care regime and a healthy lifestyle. These capsules will be a good addition to any skincare regime. They are R655 for 60 capsules and you can find them at most department stores that have an Elizabeth Arden counter. You van also order online from Woolworths, Edgars, Red Square and Truworths.

Have you tried these capsules before or any of the Elizabeth Arden skincare range? Let me know in the comments below what you thought.

  1. This sounds AMAZING! I received a supply of the EA Ceramide Daily Youth Restoring capsules, but I have been struggling a bit. It seems to be super oily and not absorbed by my skin at all, it just rubs off on my pillow. I apply it to freshly cleansed skin a few hours before I go to sleep, but it just sits on top of the skin. I just want to know if you have any advice?

    1. I also find those capsules a bit too rich for my skin. I prefer the brightening capsules – I have not done a full review yet, but I have featured them here in a favourites post – Maybe ask EA for a few capsules as samples to try them out. Another reader also mentioned that she applies half of the golden capsule in the morning and the other half at night. Hope you succeed in making them work for you.

  2. Love this! I once tried the capsules when someone gave me a sample and I love them !! My staple is the eight hour cream however, which I have by my side almost everywhere I go!
