Hi there, Happy Wednesday aka hump day! Cause from here you can spot the weekend if you stand on your tippy toes and squint your eyes very hard. Today I want to share my thoughts with you on the Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Mimosa fragrance. I have had it for quite a while now and it has become one of my faves to wear.
Elizabeth Arden Green Tea Mimosa
In the past I have not been a huge fan of the original Green Tea fragrance, but this new release is refreshing and has got a vibrant garden vibe to it. I appreciate how Elizabeth Arden keep giving a classic fragrance a boost every now and again with a limited edition line extension. I fell hard for the cucumber Green Tea and this one is no exception.
The original Green Tea has got a distinctive plain shaped bottle and this Green Tea Mimosa is packaged in the exact same bottle. I appreciate the continuity, only this bottle is more vibrant in colour and the fragrance inside is amazing! It has still got the original green tea leaf in the back which tells you which line this fragrance is part of. The pink and yellow play so well together and really make the bottle stand out. The yellow lid is also very symbolic for they yellow Mimosa flower.
This smells like a garden in full bloom! It makes my senses go in overdrive although the notes are very simplified. The top notes include : Green Tea & Citruses which gives it that zesty punch you get when you first smell this fragrance. Then the only middle note is Mimosa which is the signature to this fragrance. Lastly we have the base notes which are Heliotrope and Ambrette (musk mallow). You can definitely smell the musk, even before it has settled, but it is not overwhelming. The fragrance is well balanced but leans toward more floral. Its a punchy, full fragrance that settle into a very graceful scent.
It is kind of difficult to confirm the longevity of this perfume cause I can not smell it on myself after it has settled, yet other people still can. When I get home after work and I wore this for the day, I can still smell is on my wrist when I bring it close to my nose. Because of that I want to say that this is quite a long wearing perfume, but each body is different and this perfume might not last as long you someone else. I would say that I can get a good strong scent for 4-6 hours and then after that a good lingering scent.
I would definitely repurchase this and I have also given this perfume as a gift for some friends and family and they all are in love. Next time you walk past an Elizabeth Arden counter, do yourself a favour and smell this amazing perfume. It is only R495 for 100ml – a bargain in my eyes.
Have you tried any of the Green Tea variations and which is your favourite? Let me know in the comments below.
