Hi guys! Its almost the end of the week, time to recuperate and get to wind down. That is why I thought it fitting to do a cleansing skincare review today. All Dolled Up is constantly taking about the silky cleansing oil from this range and I decided I had to test it out. So I picked up some products from the range that I thought would suite my skin best. Lets jump in the review of The Body Shop Camomile Range
Review : The Body Shop Camomile Range
Camomile Waterproof Eye & Lip Makeup Remover
This is a dual, no wait they call it “Biphase” makeup remover. You shake the bottle before use, to mix the oil and water and it then creates a soft yet effective makeup remover. This potion comes in a plastic bottle with a screw on lid. It also has got a sort of “stopper” to make sure no product gets wasted.
This remover does not sting my eyes, which is awesome when wanting to start removing mascara and liner. It is also suitable for sensitive skin and I can attest to that as I found this to be very gentle on my skin.
Mascara and liner are really tricky to remove, even more so waterproof ones. I have found that for those two items the cleansing butter is better and more effective. So what I do is I start with this cleanser and I take off as much base and eyeshadow as I can. Its very effective at removing that type of makeup.
The smell is also amazing! Its soft and floral and makes me feel all girly. My overall thoughts are this; when you adjust your expectations this is actually a very nice cleanser. It might loose the match against those hard-to-remove mascara and liner, but it great at taking off the rest and leaving my skin clean and fresh without stripping the natural oils.
Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter
I think that if there is a cleansing balm that come close to my trusty old Clique one, this cleansing butter comes as close as can be. I am in love with this tin packaging, it adds to the feeling of the range. When you open the tin, the most beautiful smell escapes. Just like the biphase, it smells incredible without being overbearing or obnoxious.
The cleansing butter is gentle on my skin and it emulsify quite well. A little bit goes a long way and this also does not sting my eyes? If I have to compare it to the Clinique take the day off balm, then this one isn’t as thick and rich. Still I can appreciate the formula as it spreads easily and work wonders. No mascara or liner is too tough for this cleansing butter. Two ticks and you look like a panda. I enjoy using these two products together in my skin regimen from time to time.
My overall thoughts are that this is a beautiful cleansing butter that will remove everything you need it to remove. It can easily be wiped away with a damp cloth before you go in with your normal cleanser. It smells lovely and I’ll definitely repurchase.
Have you guys tried any products from this range before and what did you think?
