It is time for February 2020 Favourites!! Not sure if Favourites or New in Beauty is my favourite posts cause they both make my heart very happy. I find it intriguing to seeing what other people picked up and I also love seeing what they favour in their collections. Favourites and New in Beauty is how my collection grows cause there is always something I need to try, whether its from Instagram or other blogs I always seem to find something to add to the “need-to-want” list. Maybe I should do a blogpost on this famous “need-to-want” list. Would you guys be interested to see this infamous list?
February 2020 Favourites
So far I had really good finds this year and some of the items I picked up in January already made it into February 2020 Favourites. The Essence Perfect shine lipstick is a fairly new addition to my collection. Not only did I go out to get 4 from the 6 shades but I have been using them constantly and I am on the hunt for one more shade. But let me jump into my favourites and tell you why I an loving then so much.
Oh So Heavenly Pure Honey & Almond Oil Body Cream
This was one of those finds from Instagram. It was voted a winner in its category in the Women & Home’s best in beauty awards. I knew I had to pick it up and try and it is not disappointing. First off it smells delicious, subtle but potent at the same time. The other thing I really like about this lotion is that its very hydrating without leaving a greasy film on the skin and it sinks in really quick. I think there reason I am not fond of lotions is that they take forever to sink in and always make me feel itchy, not this one! I think hold on to your hats, this might be a favourite of 2020.
Pharmacy Green Clean Cleansing Balm
I received this in a previous Boxycharm and since I had a few cleansing products I did not open it until late last year. It is really really good and I have been using it sparingly but loving it each time I use it. If you know where I can pick this up in SA please share with me in the comments below. This is almost as good as my beloved Clinique take the day off balm. I do prefer the smell of this balm over the Clinique one, its fresh and uplifting and I hate for the day to come when this too will be finished 😪
Elizabeth Arden Great 8 Daily Defense Moisturiser
Of the whole Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour range this is my absolute favourite and I have a full review here if you want to check it out. It is lightweight but packs a punch and I literally use it for everything. From a daytime moisturiser to diluting / toning down a foundation that is too dark. Currently it is living on my desk at the office as I have one of those gross scratchy elbows. It works brilliant and smells so lovely. I gifted my extra one to a friend but this is already on the need to “pick up soon” list. Really been loving this for most of the past 2 or 3 weeks.
Bronx Colors – Bronzing Face Powder
When I was doing my series over on The Nook Trials reviewing a few Bronx Colors items I discovered this gem. This bronzer is pigmented as hell and the powder is super finely milled. The packaging is also basic but the mirror on the inside makes it totally flashy! This was one of my favourite products from that #TheNookTrials. It does not grab onto foundation and the colour is also good on my skin. I even used it as an all over eyeshadow.
Essence Perfect Shine Lipstick
These blew up the internet. They are freaking amazing and like I said I have 4 out of the 6 shades already. They are comfortable on the lips, pigmented and shiny without being overly glossy. I have one of them in my handbag at all times, just in case I need to do a touch up. If I did not already own so many lipsticks already I would backup for my backup of these lipsticks. I highly recommend you check these out if you have not tried them, they are affordable and great quality. Well Done Essence.
