Unboxing : Boxycharm September 2017

29 September 2017

Happy Friday guys!!! We have made it to the end of the week and the weekend is about to start. Today we are going to look at the very “unpopular” popular Boxycharm. Loads of people joined and then Aramex started charging us customs and it all turned into 7de Laan. Im still a bit annoyed about having to pay customs, but holding the makeup in my hands is making me feel a bit better. Lets jump into my unboxing : Boxycharm September 2017.

Unboxing : Boxycharm September 2017

Boxycharm is a $21 per month beauty subscription that is always worth over $100. That is just insane but such a good deal. This month we were spoiled with 6 products, whereas normally we receive 5 full size products. This month’s box is almost worth R1900 and the goodies is sooo good. Remember to check out my friend’s post over at An Ordinary Gal.

Pure Soiree Diaries Eyeshadow Palette – $34

Not only does this palette have an amazing size mirror, but the shadows feel soooo good. Since I only got my box today (Thursday) I have not had time to test the blendability or the pigmentation, but they swatched really nice. The shadows felt soft and smooth and the colors is beautiful. I also like how two thirds of the palette is matte and the rest is cohesive shimmery shades. One can create the most gorgeous looks with this palette and I look forward playing with it.

Studio Makeup Loose Blush – $35

Holy smokes this blush is pigmented!!! I am not the biggest fan of loose powders as its always a mess, but this one has got a good sifter. The card says that this is a lightweight formula and I agree. It feels almost like a mineralised powder and you need to be careful, cause it packs a punch. The color is also very pretty. I look forward to test this out and let you know what I think.

MAC Eyebrows in Lingering – $18

This is a very fine pointed eyebrow pencil and it can create the most realistic hair like stroke. I received the lighter shade of the two options we were going to get. The lady at the MAC counter previously used this in my brows and I had the best brow day ever. Simone is claiming that this is the best brow product out there. I trust her recommendation and I am sure that this will come in very handy.

Bare Minerals Face Perfecting Brush – $28

This brush feels sooo soft, I can sit here the whole night and stroke it, but I better get on with this post. There is an indent in the middle of this brush as it was created to work with one of Bare Minerals own foundation. But in all honesty it will work with any foundation. I have seen online that people are saying that if you put the foundation in the middle that the brush soaks up the product. They have recommended you dot the foundation on your face and then buff it in with this brush. Ive heard great reviews on this brush and look forward to reading Simone’s review as she posted today that she is in love with it.

Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in Mess Around – $6

I have tried this formula before and its not my favorite. Although it says satin, I still feel that it is very dry on the lips. The color is also something that I will never wear. I tried it today and it looked like I had mud on my (*face*) lips. Are you now also singing the song from Queen? I will be gifting this to a friend that can pull off these kind of colors.

Briogeo Don’t Despair Repair Deep Conditioning Hair Mask – $20

I have only heard great things about this brand and this mask. It has no sulfates, no paragons, no silicones, no phthalates, no artificial colors and no DEA. It smells delicious and I will be using it this weekend when I wash my hair. They are currently so dirty, they sent me a threatening message today that if I do not wash them this weekend they will jump into dreadlocks all by themselves. So this will be a great test as there is so much dry shampoo and powder in my hair. A good detox wash and then a deep moisturizing mask. Looking forward.

These were all the goodies we received in our box this month. Please do not forget to check out my friend’s post. I am not even going to write about the whole customs palava, as I am still brewing a bit, but I am thankful for my box with new makeup.

Let me know what you thought of all the goodies in the box.

Love ya.
